Boyfriend in nursing school

  1. Hello all,
this is my first post so sorry if I'm doing it wrong. Anyway, I am currently in a new relationship (2 months to be exact) and I will be starting my nursing program in late August. I have heard that it is complicated to be in a relationship during nursing school. I am very worried that I will not be able to manage my time properly.
I know that it can be done , but I don't know if it should be done or if it's the best thing to do.
He is very supportive of everything I do , and he treats me very well. However, a problem that we have is that he works a lot and we don't see each other that often. He isn't very good at phone calls either , I have told him he needs to call me at least on the days that we don't see each other, and he does call, but to be completely honest it feels like he only calls because I asked him to do it. Everything in the relationship is fine except he isn't very good about calling , which worries me since I know that in nursing school I won't see him as much , and I worry that our only way of communicating will be through text messages. I feel like the relationship will fall apart from there.
Im just looking for advice thankss !

If the relationship falls apart so be it. There are other fish in the sea.

The reason behind dating someone is to find out if they are a match. So, if red flags pop up about things you don't want to live with for the rest of your life, that's fine. Again, that's what dating is for. You aren't married, there is no commitment as of yet.

Starting any big life change is challenging all the way around.

I wish you the best in your journey to becoming a nurse!

There is no reason why you can't have a boyfriend while you are in nursing school. You need to be diligent about your studies. If this is really a keeper he will be understanding. My boyfriend bought me all my books and helped me study. Now he is my husband.
