Well, since it was my suggestion for this forum, it's entirely appropriate I post the first thread, no?
So, we are born, we grow, we live each and every day just living and going about our business.
Then ..... one day we wake up and we've turned 50!
Those of us blessed to live long enough reach this milestone and in so doing, come to realise that for the most part, the majority of our life journey is over. Often referred to as; The "downhill" run!
It's often a time to re-evaluate our life, how we want to live it, where and with whom.
Career choices are often also re-evaluated. Sometimes because of choice .... sometimes because of changing circumstances, both professionally and personally.
You notice changes also in your body which is no longer as it was thirty or more years ago. Some things you can simply no longer do!
Time, perhaps trauma, and age is taking it's toll and limiting you to less optimal performance than in times past. Now you walk rather than run. You take the lift rather than the stairs.
Despite the changes and/or challenges, reaching 50 and over can be liberating and bring new things into our lives.
I've decided to make my "Downhill" run the best it can be! Endeavour to be the best I can be. Do my best and continue to contribute in whichever way I can to help make this world a better place.
Make the most of each and every day within the limitations which are a reality for all of us regardless of age. Limitations which range from physical, financial, etc etc.
Soooooo ............ how are you
going to spend your "downhill' run??!
